Meet the Seguin Team Behind Otto’s Garage Door

We’re not a franchise roster with rotating faces. The crew that answers your call in Seguin is the same crew you’ll see at the hardware store on Saturday morning. Every one of us lives within twenty minutes of your driveway. We’ve been fixing doors in Guadalupe County since 2004, and the people on this page are the reason a neighbor on Court Street can tell you exactly who showed up last spring and how the job went. No subcontracted strangers. No call center routing. Just local people whose names you’ll actually remember.

Our People

Otto Reinhardt, Owner

Otto founded Otto’s Garage Door in 2004 with one truck, a box of springs, and a published phone number. He still answers calls himself, often at nine at night when a torsion spring snaps and your car is trapped in the bay. Otto quotes jobs on the call and holds that number when he pulls into your driveway. He counts spring cycles the way you count tire miles, and he’ll tell you straight if a door has six months or six years left. The name on the van is the name on the invoice and the name on the license. Ask anyone on your street.

Marco V., Lead Technician

Marco has been with Otto for eleven years and has worked on every major brand we service: LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor. He’s our go-to for torsion spring replacements and high-cycle spring conversions on heavy wood carriage doors. Marco is certified in LiftMaster and Chamberlain opener systems, and he teaches our apprentice the right way to balance a door before touching the opener. He grew up in McQueeney and can tell you which neighborhoods have soil that shifts doors out of square faster than others. On weekends he’s rebuilding a 1968 Ford pickup in his own garage, slowly.

Dana L., Senior Installer

Dana handles new door installations and full replacement projects, from standard steel panels to insulated Clopay and Amarr doors built for Texas heat. She’s been with Otto’s for eight years and measures every opening twice before ordering. Dana specializes in retrofitting older Seguin homes where the header isn’t level and the side clearance barely makes modern track specs. She’s the reason our installed doors close square and stay square. Her background in finish carpentry shows in the trim work, and she’ll leave your garage floor cleaner than she found it. Dana lives in Seguin proper with two rescue dogs she swears are better door monitors than any sensor.

Eli T., Apprentice Technician

Eli joined the crew two seasons ago after working maintenance at a local apartment complex and wanting to learn a real trade. He rides with Marco on most repair calls, handles spring cycle counts, learns torque specs, and runs safety checks on every job before we wrap. Eli is mid-way through his manufacturer training and already fluent in basic opener diagnostics. He grew up in Geronimo and knows half the county by first name before he even gets to the door. When he’s not on a ladder, he’s fishing the Guadalupe River and reporting back which crossings are still running clear.

One Standard, Every Job

The 90-Day Done Right Promise isn’t a slogan on a website. It’s written on every invoice, and one call brings Otto back, no runaround. Marco, Dana, and Eli work under that same standard, whether it’s a spring swap at noon or an emergency call at midnight. Every person on this page is background-checked, uniformed, and trained across all major brands before they ever walk onto your property. We quote the price before the job starts and it doesn’t change at the door. No trip charge inside the county. Free second opinion on any written estimate. Senior and veteran discount, always. If the opener is straining, we’ll tell you the problem is almost never the opener, and we’ll show you what’s actually failing before we touch a thing.

Why the Local Team Matters

A garage door weighs roughly 200 pounds riding on two springs under extreme tension. When a spring lets go, you want the person who shows up to be someone who’s done this a thousand times in your specific climate, on your specific soil, on doors built to Seguin’s building conditions. That kind of knowledge doesn’t come from a national training packet. It comes from two decades of working the same county, knowing which neighborhoods have doors that rust faster, which opener models struggle with our humidity, and which installs from the 1990s are due for a spring anyway. Marco can tell you why your door binds in August but not February. Dana knows which manufacturers still stock tracks for homes in Pecan Grove. Otto knows what his crew did on every job because he’s been in every truck.

What to Expect When You Call

A live person answers, 24/7. Often it’s Otto himself. He’ll listen, ask the right questions, and quote the job on the call. The price he gives is the price you pay, no surprises at the door. Our people show up in uniform, introduce themselves by name, and get to work the same way we’ve done it since 2004. When the job is finished, you’ll have the 90-Day Done Right Promise in writing, signed, with the owner’s name on it. That’s not something a national brand can offer. It’s what happens when the name on the van is a palindrome: reads the same from either end, same as the door.
